Life is far too busy, and while many parents breathe a sigh of relief that the long summer break is over, we also wonder how we can possibly get everything done in the afternoons and after school that we need. An after school routine is very important to every family so that we can all: make sure all the papers get signed, supplies get purchased, homework gets done, family time together, extracurricular activities are attended and so that mornings can run more smoothly. Less mess in the mornings, but having a after school routine that works for your family also means less stress.

Take advantage of this to toss some marinated chicken breasts on and let them smoke and cook through while you enjoy the burgers prepared earlier. Once the chicken breasts are cooked, bring them in and wrap to store in your refrigerator. Just that simple act has you well prepared to serve chicken salad sandwiches, grilled chicken salads, slow cooker taco chicken any number of menus without having to even re-fire the grill for a day or two.

Check your calendar. Do you need quick breakfasts before work and school, or do you have time to cook pancakes? Will you be rushing to evening events or spending a leisurely evening at home? And if you will be rushing, plan to cook ahead for those meals. For instance, if you get the family pack of chicken leg quarters, and cook the whole thing one night, you can save part of the cooked chicken for another meal. Having a glass of delicious wine with any entree is always pleasing to the palate. When enjoying a chicken or fish dish, soft white wine always goes well alongside. Where beef and spaghetti are concerned, the wine choice could go either way with a white or a red, a dry or a sweet, depending upon your preferences. However, when you have prepared a meal of lamb; whether it be grilled lamb, lamb chops, lamb steaks, lamb shanks, lamb stew, or roasted lamb, a red wine always pairs best.

On St Patrick's Day, the typical meal is corned beef and cabbage, served with boiled potatoes. In Reno, any number of casino restaurants serve this meal-the Silver Legacy, the Grand Sierra Resort and Circus Circus. Last night, I ate stew beef baby at Esplanade mall in Bangkok, Thailand with one of my Thai friends. She's been raving about Santa Fe Steak, a Thai chain restaurant, for a while and wanted me to try it. Promoted as an American-style steak house, it's become popular in Bangkok for steak and western food lovers who like the food but don't want to pay the normal Bangkok high prices. So, intrigued, I agreed to eat there with here and I'm thrilled that I did.

Tempeh is another great source of protein and iron. Many vegetarians love it for its chewy texture and fleshy flavor. Seitan or white gluten is another source of protein that can easily replace beef braising steak. Buddhist monks used to include Seitan to replace beef protein and get around 3 times less calories. Tofu is another rich source of protein with the essence of soy milk. You can use it to make delicious salads dressings, patties, dips, and smoothies.

As luck may have it, dogs from either a mixed breeding or purebred dogs can develop health issues sometime in their lives. It all depends on genetics. There are some purebred dogs that are extremely healthy and the same can be said about mixed breeds. It really does not matter - purebred versus mixed breed - give the pet the best health care, food and attention you can, and the dog will have a lower risk of getting sick. And by all means select the dog that is the best choice for you and stewing steak your family.

Who has the time to cook a healthy meal these days? Anyone, in fact. A good dinner doesn't have to be elaborate or fancy. As TV host Rachael Ray says, if you have time to watch TV, then you have time to make dinner. It only takes half an hour or less to put together a healthy meal complete with appetizers and a dessert. Think you can't do it? Try these five time-saving tricks.

When you are making guacamole you need to make sure that focaccia bread you have a lime on hand to squeeze over it after it is prepared. If you do not sprinkle lime juice on the top of guacamole the avocado will start to turn brown and it will give the guacamole a very unappetizing appearance.
